Makaton For…Workshops for professionals working in a range of settings, ideal for
- Teams supporting people with learning disabilities and SENCO’s
- Nursing, healthcare professionals
- Early years practitioners and educators
- Anyone who wants to create more inclusive and supportive environment through communication
- No previous Makaton experience is needed
How it works
- 3 hour interactive workshops
- Available in-person or online
- Delivered by a Makaton Tutor
- Includes official Makaton resources and a certificate of attendance
- £125 per person
- Maximum 15 people per workshop to ensure quality of learning

Makaton Level Workshops
Makaton Level’s 1 to 4, for parents, carers and professionals who wish to learn the core vocabulary of Makaton.
How it works
- Each level is 8 hours; split over 2 sessions
- Available in-person or online
- Delivered by a Makaton Tutor
- Includes official Makaton resources and a certificate upon completion
- £90 per person per level

Elklan Speech and Language Support training
Let’s talk courses designed for parents and practitioners level 1 accredited
- Gain insights into how your child’s communication develops
- Recognise when and why some children need extra support
- Master practical, easy-to-use techniques to boost your child’s language daily
- Connect and share your journey with a supportive community of parents and carers
How it works
- 7 hour course; split over 4 to 7 weeks
- Available in-person or online
- Delivered by an Elklan Let’s Talk Tutor
- Includes official Elklan resources and a certificate of attendance
- £260 per person

- Adult-child interaction; Creating meaningful conversations
- The link between Play and Language; Turning playtime into language-building opportunities
- Listening and Understanding Language; Encouraging the skills to understand language
- Using Words and Sentences; strategies for learning new words and building sentences
- Asking Questions and Sharing Books; using books and questions to enrich language and communication
- Supporting the Development of Clear Speech; Techniques for nurturing understanding speech
